  • Appliances like microwaves, small fridges cab be kept sparkling white -
    Add 1/2 cup of Bleach & 1/4 cup of baking soda to 4 cups of warm water, apply with a sponge and leave it 10 minutes, then rinse.
  • Old office appliances have scratches & are not shiny anymore: Use car wax on old appliances and those with scratches to make them shiny and to get rid of scratches.
  • Clean stainless steel sink with baking soda and use white vinegar to eliminate water spots.
  • If you haven't been killing the germs that cause the odors in your sink, then your drain might start to smell. Just pour some concentrated lemon juice down it. Let it sit in the trap for as long as you want. That is where the water and stuff sit and start to smell. Just turn on the water and flush it on down the drain. The lemon smell will linger.
  • To clean a white sink use bleach. To save more money soak kitchen papers with bleach and line them for at least one hour. This is for white sinks only; don't apply it for colored sinks as bleach will affect color.
  • To get rid of toilet rings - Use borax & lemon juice, leave it for at least 2 hours then scrub.
  • Use lemon oil when cleaning tiles to make them shinier longer.
  • Place a sheet of fabric conditioner in the wastebasket for a fresh smell.
  • Money-saving solution for cleaning ceramic tile.
    1/4 cup of baking soda.
    1/2 cup of white vinegar.
    1/2 cup of household ammonia.
  • Removing kitchen and food odors: Soak pure vanilla on a cotton ball and place in a saucer. Put the saucer in the car or refrigerator to remove odors. Keep cotton ball out of reach of children as it contains some alcohol.
  • To remove rust without dangerous toxins, sprinkle salt on to the surface and then squeeze lemon juice on to the salt. Let the salt and lemon juice sit for at least four hours then scrub. Be reminded to always wear gloves and eye protection.
